Leaf Donates Plants to the Pfluger Bridge

Recently, Leaf Landscape Supply had an opportunity to right a wrong that was done to one of Austin’s unique public garden spaces. Earlier this year someone stole several plants from the Pfluger Pedestrian bridge in downtown Austin. The bridge is a pedestrian and bicycle crossing of Lady Bird Lake and features a shared public garden and landscaping area.

The Texas A&M Agrilife Extension adopts and maintains one of the garden beds on the Pfluger Bridge. When our manager Cathy heard that plants were stolen out of their bed, she arranged for us to donate plants in order to replace the ones which were stolen. Among the plants donated were the Brazilian Sky Flower, two flats of Viola Cornuta Pansies, ‘Scarlet Flame’ Phlox, some Trailing Lantana, and three Euphoribia Rigida.

Unfortunately things like this tend to happen more often than we would like. Leaf Landscape Supply appreciates the opportunity to give back to the community and help keep Austin beautiful whenever and wherever we can.
