Delivery Driver

Overview

Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery of ordered products. Must make sure all orders arrive safely to the customer in a timely manner. Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicles. They are the face of the company and need to always maintain a clean appearance. The Driver must be able to help load and coordinate deliveries with supervisor and customer. Will work closely with the delivery lead and operators to make sure all orders are delivered on time, efficiently, and with the product’s integrity intact.

Description

  • Must be highly reliable and work on time

  • Responsible daily to keep that vehicle maintained for safety & report any issues to the Operations Manager

  • Must be able to take instruction from Supervisor / Logistics

  • Assist in loading, if necessary

  • Keep vehicles and trailers clean and neat

  • Ensure vehicle paperwork is in order

  • Drive safely, courteously and in a timely manner

  • Communicate with customers on delivery arrival time

  • Safely unload vehicle, when necessary

  • Will adhere to all traffic laws

  • Must report all traffic violations while at work or not

  • Must report incidents and/or damages while on a delivery

  • Utilize Global Positioning System (GPS)

  • Assist other departments with product maintenance, and additional aspects of service, where possible

Key Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must have a good driving record
  • Must be 21 years old or older
  • Good communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Good listening skills
  • Plant identification & knowledge (preferred)
  • Must be able to work alone and self-manage
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) Preferred
  • Ability to pass drug test at hiring & random during work
