Helping Down Home Ranch with Their Spring Planting

Part of our crew spent Friday with Down Home Ranch to help with their Spring planting. Down Home Ranch is a working farm and ranch, founded in 1989 by parents of a young daughter born with Down syndrome four years prior. The Ranch was inspired by the writings and work of Jean Vanier, Henri Nouwen, and Rudolf Steiner and driven by the lack of resources available to adults with intellectual disabilities.

Leaf was excited to lend a hand to such a great and inspirational non profit. It was an excellent way to both use our industry knowledge and get out to work with our communities. We learned, we laughed, and we helped. It was a great day and we look forward to growing our partnership with this organization.
