Coats for Kids at Leaf 2024

Help us put coats on vulnerable Texas children this winter.

Get ready to celebrate 38 amazing years of Coats for Kids (CFK), a heartwarming annual event dedicated to bringing cozy, warm winter coats to children in need across Central Texas. Join The Junior League of Austin, Jack Brown Cleaners, iHeartRadio, and KVUE as we team up to host this
year’s coat drive. Let’s come together and make a difference in the lives of kids!

Partner with Leaf Landscape supply to help a Texas child stay warm this winter by donating to Coats for Kids. Bring a new or gently used coat to either Leaf location between Monday Nov 6th and Saturday Dec 2nd – or scan the QR code in-store during the same time and keep a child warm this winter!

FACTS ABOUT COATS FOR KIDS in 2023

What impact was made in last year’s Coats for Kids event?

• 30,963 coats were cleaned, sorted and distributed
  • 10,025 coats were collected through the coat drive competition (220 organizations!)
  • 14,179 coats were distributed to 185 Austin-area schools
    • 17 Del Valle ISD schools
    • 104 Austin ISD schools
    • 35 Pflugerville ISD schools
    • 29 Charter schools
  • 16,784 coats were distributed by 78 Community organizations
• 14,100 dental kits were donated by St. David’s Foundation were distributed with the coats
• 51 committee members and 15 subcommittees supported Coats for Kids
• 1,805 community volunteers donated 5,415 hours
